FREE BLANKET PROGRAM GUIDELINES

(updated December 1, 2021)

Please complete the request form below.

1. WARNING: these blankets are NOT for children under the age of 3. Serious choking hazard.

​

2. We make each blanket using the standard recommended Occupational Therapy guideline: 10% + 1 lb. of the child's current body weight. (i.e. for a 50 lb. child a 6 lb. blanket should be ordered) If your child's personal Occupational Therapist deems it more beneficial for your child to utilize a  heavier blanket based on individual needs, please be prepared to present this recommendation in writing at the time of order.

3. SHIPPING IS NOT PAID. You will receive a Paypal invoice for "shipping only" within 3 days of submitting your request for a free weighted blanket. You must pay in full with 7 days to reserve a spot on the waiting list. Your request will be removed after 7 days of non-payment.

ALL OF OUR BLANKETS ARE MADE BY HAND IN SYRACUSE, NY, BY AN UNPAID VOLUNTEER.

THE SUGGESTED DONATION FOR OUR SERVICES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Mini/Travel Size (3-4 lbs/30"L x 37"W) $20

Small (5 lbs/45"L x 37"W)  $40

Med   (6-8 lbs/50"L x 37"W) $60

Lrg    (9-11 lbs/55"L x37"W) $80

XL       (12 lbs/60"L x 37"W) $100

**If you are unable to afford the suggested donation for the size blanket you need, any donation amount is appreciated. Donations are used to acquire fabric and supplies so we can continue to serve children in need**
